this is a b/p ranger build
Must be a Ranger Monk!
Attribute Points: Max out Marksmanship - 16 Get Expertise to atleast a 10 or higher
Weapon used: Storm Bow seems to be the favorite. I use it also. Sundering 10/10, +28 or above health. I think long range bows work best due to having to stay back and shooting over minions and animals.
Skill Bar: Must have Skills Barrage, Distracting Shot, Comfort Animal, Charm Animal, Throw Dirt, Rebirth
This leave you 2 slots: 1 has to be a spirit - Favorable Winds (Marksmanship) Winnowing (Wilderness Survival) Symbiosis, Predatory Season (Beast Mastery) (Some groups dont like you to use these last 2)
One skill for you to pick Concussion Shot, Dual Shot, Judges Insight, or Vig. Spirt (last 2 are enchantments so be careful)
You ask how to send the rest of your points? Depends if you get asked to carry a spirit or not. Most Spirit last 60 seconds, so I suggest you put atleast enough to get it over 60 seconds.
The Normal Running Group: 2 - Necs - 1 Order and 1 MM 5 - Barrage/Pet Rangers 1 - Healing Monk
How it works: You animal Tanks for you, keeping the enemy off of ya, they die frequently, make sure you res often. They server as bodies for the MM - DO NOT HEAL! The monk maintains health mostly on the necs (rangers normally stay back) If you get attacked physically use throw dirt quick Use barrage always
Any animal is good! I use the bear, they are a bit bigger. Ihave seen them all in there. The bear and Stalker are the most popular. Spiders and Lizards run a close second.

a good ranger ettin farmer Profession: Ranger/ (anything else, it won't matter anyway!)
Armour: Droknar's level armour of any type will work.
Attributes: 12 Expertise (11+1 minor) 11 Wilderness Survival (10+1 minor) 11 Marksmanship (10+1 minor
Skills: Hunter's Shot Apply Poison Distracting Shot Throw Dirt Lightning Reflexes Dodge Escape Troll Unguent
To start farming: Use apply poison, then hunter's shot on the nearest ettin. This will cause it to start bleeding and be poisoned, which is a health degen of 7. Interrupt his healing signet when he uses it and pour more shots at him until he dies. Then move on to the next one.
Use throw dirt and lightning reflexes to reduce/negate damage from the other 1/2/3 ettins that are with the target ettin. Ettins hit pretty hard, even on a ranger with Droknar's Forge level armour, so bring a bow with a fortitude or defense mod if you can!
Use The two run skills to get away if your life is in jeopardy. For healing, obviously use Troll Unguent
This is meant specifically for the Ettins outside Beetletun and the ones outside Ascalon Settlement in North Kryta Province. Usually, I run past the mergoyles in the beginning, smash through the four tengu in the way (they occaisionally drop gold armours, so I don't just skip them), and there, you will see the ettins.
While the same ettins can be farmed with a Warrior or a Monk, This is simply an alternative to that.
